User Reviews

User reviews show Kia eServices for iOS is plagued by server/connection issues, login/registration problems, and unstable vehicle integration (CarPlay/USB). Diagnostic data often fails to sync, and some users feel older accounts or vehicles are no longer supported. A few users recall the app worked in the past and the parking minder feature as a valued option, but reliability issues dominate the feedback.
Pros
  • Parking minder feature is valued by users.
  • Historically worked well for some Kia models (e.g., Sorento) prior to recent issues.
Cons
  • Frequent server errors and 'Service Unavailable' / 'Unable to Connect to Server' messages; the app often cannot connect.
  • Login and registration problems: cannot log in, password reset errors, or accounts not recognized.
  • CarPlay/phone connectivity issues: iPhone CarPlay disconnects or is not detected when connected via cable.
  • Diagnostic data synchronization failures: diagnostic data or vehicle status no longer syncing; data transmission failures despite connection.
  • Older accounts or vehicles are reportedly no longer supported or the app appears to be discontinued for some users.

This app use to work wonderfully for my 2017 Kia Sorento, nothing now. I’ve been trying to use it to diagnose my car since my check engine light came on (which I’ve done in the past) it keeps giving me instructions for set up but nothing is working, I’m sure I know why the light is on being it just happened earlier this month and I just had my engine replaced last May (gas cap) I would still like to use the feature I was so use to using in the past highly disappointed with this being this was more convenient then going and having the code pulled to understand what was going on

I value the parking minder feature but it rarely works. When my iPhone is connected to Apple Car Play, the app often says it’s not. And lately the app says KIA services are not available. Basically useless
