This app is designed to give existing LC-Ready users access to their programs via this fully functional app. You will be able to use study cards, practice with review questions, take practice examinations, and see our industry-leading detailed rationale answers all within the LC-Ready app.

The app also provides full access to our unique study wall feature which gives students the ability to communicate and study together on the fly. User’s progress history and mastered items are carried seamlessly between this app and other devices used for study. If you take a practice exam on your phone, you will also see the results on your computer.

As a special feature available only on the LC-Ready app, users can view a custom news feed from EMS internet leader EMS1.com targeted specially for EMS students and practitioners. Keeping up with the latest news and trends is a vital part of an EMS provider’s responsibility. The LC-Ready app makes it that much easier.

LC-Ready is a strong EMT/Paramedic study tool that helps many users pass on the first try with concise content and a broad set of resources, but it suffers from outdated or inconsistent content, uneven explanations, and mobile UI/stability issues that some users encounter.

Pros

Cons

Content accuracy and currency issues: some questions are outdated or contradict current guidelines and require peer review.
Explanations for wrong answers are inconsistent or missing in some packages; audio explanations are not universally liked.
Mobile UI/UX is not well-optimized: clunky, slow, and looks like a website rather than a mobile app.
Stability/navigation problems: app can restart after a test and you can’t easily return to the main screen.
Quality issues in questions (grammar/clarity) and occasional incorrect wording that affects comprehension.

Recent reviews

I’ve used LC-Ready for EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic. Never used pocketprep or other apps. This app is great to support your study and get in the habit of reading test questions. I found it helpful to find areas and topics I was weak in and then go review those areas in my books. It’s not the most useful source for finding new or always accurate information. But many questions are almost word for word on the NREMT exams. It has its bugs and the app hasn’t seen an update the entire time I’ve used it but it’s worked for me. If you are getting ready to test do not just use the apps, you must be reading and studying in your books. They make all the difference in passing your test.

So far a lot of the questions contradict what I’ve been taught and it is quite distracting. Example you are told to rapid transport a pregnant patient presenting breech birth. This app says to attempt to give birth, don’t use it you will waste your time go to pocket prep
