User Reviews

Users praise the app for solid local weather content and radar features but repeatedly point to an ad‑driven, unstable experience. Intrusive ads, auto‑playing videos, and splash screens disrupt viewing; crashes and freezes occur around radar views, and iPad/CarPlay support is lacking. Dew point visibility has also degraded. Overall, the content is valued, but the ad-heavy, unstable experience has caused many to seek alternatives.
Pros
  • Trusted local weather content and expertise from Madison's weather team, with a daily, reliable source of forecasts.
  • Strong radar and detailed map features that historically provided valuable weather insight.
  • Longstanding usage suggests the app was a dependable source of weather information for years.
Cons
  • Excessive ads, including auto-playing video ads and long splash screens that interrupt or block content.
  • Frequent crashes/freezes, especially when using radar features or while ads load, including issues on iPad.
  • Dew point data is missing or hard to read in the forecast view (readability issues and removal from main display).
  • Inconsistent radar data/predictions at times and occasional reliability concerns.
  • Limited cross‑platform features (e.g., CarPlay support missing).

Used to be a go-to app. It’s the exact same as NBC15’s app too. Removed the storm tracks/alerts. Now it’s just a screen full of colored boxes that doesn’t allow you to see anything. Do better.

The app is as functional as any and features Madison’s best weatherman.

Ok, so every time I click Past + Future in radar it crashes the app, please fix.
