User Reviews

Nonograms CrossMe is praised for its huge, ongoing puzzle library and the value of its ad-free paid version, plus intuitive controls and dual color/B&W gameplay. However, recurring complaints focus on heavy ads in the free tier and issues restoring or accessing purchased color content, as well as some updates that alter mechanics in ways some long-time players dislike. Overall, it remains a top pick for dedicated nonogram fans who are willing to pay for a long-lasting, offline puzzle experience.
Pros
  • Massive, ever-growing puzzle library with frequent updates (color and black-and-white puzzles).
  • Ad-free experience and strong value when purchased; many users view the paid version as worth the money.
  • Intuitive, customizable controls and a smooth, relaxing gameplay experience with both color and B&W modes in one app.
Cons
  • Ad-heavy experience in the free version, with long or frequent ads between puzzles that frustrate players.
  • Color puzzle unlocks can become locked or fail to restore after purchase; restoring purchases is frequently reported as problematic, and contacting the developer is difficult.
  • Updates or UI changes that some longtime players dislike, including changes to mechanics/controls that hinder progress (e.g., pencil/marking changes and edge/column interactions).

This is the most relaxing game I have found! I like to put in ear buds, put on some music, and starting counting. But I can hardly go a day without playing! Love getting new puzzles too.

I can’t even remember how long ago I got this puzzle, but I’ve been playing it off and on for several years. For some reason, the layout and tap options are much more intuitive than other Nonogram app games I’ve downloaded. I really really appreciate the one time payment for unlimited hints. For some puzzles, you really need unlimited hints so you don’t go mad working on the same puzzle over and over. Also, thank you for not making this game a subscription. I can’t stand apps that require a subscription. We have way too many things and tools that require a subscription! My ONLY request/criticism would be that there’s no dark mode. I would LOVE for the developer to find a way to add in an optional dark-mode option… maybe it’s a feature that can be coded that automatically causes all colors and cross-outs to immediately switch to a lighter version of that color. The lack of a dark-mode option is the only reason I still occasionally look around the App Store for another Nonogram puzzle. ** Pretty please add a dark mode option. I would even be willing to pay for that option (as long as it’s not a subscription)
