Features & Capabilities

Yesterday Lite is the first thriller by the indie studio behind the RUNAWAY saga. Set in New York, it follows Henry White and his friend Cooper as they investigate a chilling case: a killer targeting beggars and a mysterious Y-shaped scar linking victims. A third playable character, John Yesterday, enters the story after his memory is wiped, raising the question: who is John Yesterday?

The game blends a distinctive visual style that fuses comics, cinema, and videogames with a zoom-based interface, hotspot hints, and a moody musical score. It’s designed for a rich, immersive noir experience and full of references to movies, series, games, music, and novels. Available languages include English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian.

User Reviews

Yesterday Lite is a dark, atmospheric point-and-click adventure praised for its gripping story, clever puzzles, beautiful graphics, and strong voice acting. Many players love the twist-filled narrative and replay value, reminiscent of 90s era adventures. However, multiple reviews cite persistent interface/input problems, save/startup glitches, and device-specific compatibility issues that can render the game unplayable. Some feel the lite/full price is too high for its short length. Overall, it’s highly praised when it runs smoothly but unreliable on several devices.
Pros
  • Gripping, creepy, dark storyline with surprising twists
  • Engaging point-and-click gameplay with clever puzzles
  • Beautiful graphics and solid voice acting
  • Nostalgic 90s adventure-game feel with high replay value
  • Very engaging and hard to put down
Cons
  • Interface and controls are hard to use (difficult to select items, drag/combine, and navigate menus)
  • Save/load/startup issues (unresponsive save files, blank/start screen, or purchase button unclickable)
  • Device compatibility glitches (unplayable on some devices like iPhone X/6 Plus or certain iOS versions)
  • Short length with high price (too short for the cost)

This is the best point and click I have ever purchased from the App Store. It always has you guessing and surprises you in the ways you would least expect. WOW. A simple review doesn’t give this game justice. You MUST play it yourself. I could not put this game down and there’s a lot of gameplay involved, too. So you definitely get your money’s worth out of it. Wow. Wow. Wow. Creepy, fun, gripping, amazing, weird, dark, unexpected turns, so unique. Great, amazing, wonderful game. The graphics are beautiful as well.

I downloaded this app and it won’t let me play

I’m trying to play on an iPhone X. To get to a save file you have to tap above to the left of the black boxes to select. Once in game tap response is accurate when guiding character but once you want to tap on the magnifying glass or hand you have to tap a bit above the options. Can’t get to the menu/item section at all no matter where I tap on the screen. Up to this point completely unplayable :(
