Quick start WITHOUT remote control:

Install the TabletAED trainer app on your iPad.
Start the TabletAED trainer app and slide the door open.
Select an AED and select a language.
Select the option ‘Without remote control’ and press Start.
Operate your TabletAED trainer like you are used to. With the operation bar on top you simply give commands to the AED trainer and simulate a training scenario.

Quick start WITH remote control:

Install the TabletAED trainer app on your iPad.
Install the TabletAED remote app on your iPhone.
Start the TabletAED trainer app and slide the door open.
Select an AED and select a language.
Select the option ‘With remote control’ (default) and press Start.
Start the TabletAED remote app.
Press the ‘Connection’ button and select your located iPad (with TabletAED trainer app installed). Press ‘Allow’ on the iPad to accept connection. After a few seconds connection will be established.
Operate your TabletAED trainer like you are used to. With the TabletAED remote app you simply give commands to the TabletAED trainer app and simulate a training scenario.

I am using an iPhone and iPad. I am a Red Cross Instructor and an ASHI Instructor Trainer. I found that turning off and on Bluetooth on both devices at the time is use made the iPad AED connect to the iPhone which acts as the AED Trainer remote easier. Once I had the app open on both devices, I chose an AED from the many options. There is a button on the AED selected to engage the remote access on the pgone. I got a prompt to allow the connection between the devices. This allowed the iPhone to work to send instructor prompts. If the iPhone was not connected, an additional menu appeared on the tablet to prompt the AED scenarios (motion detected, no shock advised, shock advised. I bought a carrier for my tablet with straps to mimic carrying an AED and I connected training pads to that carrier pouch.

This app has several issues. One issue is there’s no button labels. We have to guess by the picture. This is poor. I see a lot of work that this app needs.

1: doesn't pair quickly. It can take minutes or not pair at all. 2: no explanation about what the buttons do. You have to guess from the pictograms. 3: needs a link to order/buy other physical props. (Caring case, adult pads, and kid pads.) 4: pads need to chick into either headphone jack or power jack. 5: When you go to the website site price need to show in "$" and not just "£"
