iVetSchool

iVetSchool is a problem based learning tool for training veterinary medical students. The goal is to present media-rich cases in a format that closely mirrors situations that veterinary students and graduate veterinarians commonly encounter in the practice of veterinary medicine.

The app was developed through the collaborative efforts of Drs. Ann Rashmir-Raven and Matt Raven at Michigan State University and Dr. Robert Linford at Mississippi State University with significant contributions from Drs. Kent Ames and Rob Malinowski at Michigan State University and other veterinary medical faculty at Michigan State University, Mississippi State University, and Ohio State University in conjunction with Venturit, Inc. and Information Technology Services at Mississippi State University.

Veterinary faculty with demonstrated excellence in teaching large animal medicine and surgery developed the case studies and lead the development of the App.

The project was made possible through funding from the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Higher Education Challenge Grant Program.
