I can never ever get rid of 1 lit up notification. It makes me insane

I rate this news app one star because most news is not local. Of the 18 articles on the main page, over half (10) is Iowa news and most of the rest is general MN news. The last I looked there were only three articles on Mankato and one was an old weather report.
