User Reviews

Users find the BPM Tap Counter to be a simple, fast tool for counting beats, with good accuracy when tapping longer sequences and useful for activities like Zumba. However, the free version is dominated by intrusive ads that overlay the tapping area and can block or disrupt use, sometimes prompting accidental taps. Many want an ad-free option or a paid version. Despite the ad issues, the core BPM counting works well when not impeded by ads.
Pros
  • Simple, fast, and reliable BPM counter that works as advertised.
  • Fast and effective BPM readings, especially when you tap for longer sequences (roughly 20–28 beats).
  • Lightweight, basic UI that is not fussy and easy to use.
  • Useful for activities like Zumba or music timing; quick results.
  • Some users are willing to pay to remove ads, indicating value and potential for an ad-free option.
Cons
  • Ads are intrusive and overlay the tapping area, including full-screen ads that interrupt use.
  • Ads often cause accidental taps / clicks when you’re counting beats.
  • No ad-free version is available in the free app, and removal requires payment.
  • Ads can block functionality or require quitting the app to close them.
Recent reviews
Has many pop-up ads that appear shortly after loading the app. Clearly trying to get you to click on them accidentally. Crazy that this is allowed. Over half the screen is covered by the ads.

It works. Ads suck
by Al*****, 2026-02-11

It’s designed so that while you’re tapping for the BPM ads will pop up and you’ll unknowingly tap them. Pretty annoying. Used to work great but now they’re clearly milking the thing.
