Features & Capabilities

A daily reading planner that allows you to read the entire Bible in a year. This schedule was designed by Robert Roberts in the 1800's and is still widely used by the Christadelphians today. Following this planner, you will read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice in a single year.

This app works on the iPhone, iPod, and iPad and includes the King James Version text without the need for a cellular or WiFi data connection. This way, you are always able to read the Word of God wherever you go.

User Reviews

Users repeatedly praise the app for being simple and easy to use, with a reliable daily Bible reading plan that helps stay on track and complete the Bible in a year. The three-portion daily structure (via Robert Roberts) and automatic day navigation are highlighted, along with a brief daily reading (about 15 minutes). Some issues include Genesis 49 missing on one date, older language with misspellings/grammar, and requests for more versions beyond KJV. Overall, the app is valued for simplicity and reliability despite minor content/typography gaps.
Pros
  • Simple and easy to use.
  • Keeps you on track with a built-in daily reading plan and goes to the correct day.
  • Concise daily reading time (about 15 minutes) due to the structured plan.
  • Uses Robert Roberts' daily reading planner (three portions per day).
  • Small app footprint compared with KJV audio apps (less storage).
Cons
  • Genesis 49 missing on January 29.
  • Uses old language with misspellings and odd grammar.
  • Desire for more versions beyond the King James Version (KJV).

Simple and easy too use. Wouldn’t change a thing. If you want to read the Bible from cover to cover then this is your app.

This is a great app for any Christadelphian or any person wanting to read the Bible on a daily basis. It is not fancy but uses Robert Roberts daily bible reading planner that splits bible readings into 3 portions for every day of the year. More versions besides the King James would be nice but is not needed. Again, great app.

I was very pleased to find this app. I have tried Bible reading plans before, but I tire of flipping to the correct passages and keeping up with where I'm at each day. This app automatically goes to the correct day and the passages are all there. By doing this each day, you will get through the entire Bible in one year. The synthesized voice is a great help to me in staying focused. Yes, it is humorous at times, but it is fairly accurate and not as time consuming as I expected. I have been completing each daily reading package in 15 minutes. My only misgiving was how I would be able to handle a missed day. My answer to that was to set a reminder on the iPhone for a repeat event each day. The reminder stays on the phone until I check it off. So far (four days), the app has been solid and I have been keeping up. One suggested improvement would be a pause after the question marks. Otherwise, I like the voice feature.
