User Reviews

The ArtScroll Digital Library for Apple shines with its enormous catalog and strong study tools (deep hyperlinks/footnotes) and a solid reading experience on iPad, offering good value. However, users repeatedly report poor performance (slowness, crashes), an awkward, cluttered UI that complicates navigation, and a lack of desktop apps (PC/Mac) with inconsistent cross‑platform behavior. Customer support is also described as unresponsive at times. Overall, content quality is high but stability and usability need major improvements.
Pros
  • Massive content library accessible via a single subscription
  • Robust hyperlink/navigation features (pop-out links, intertextual references, footnotes) for study
  • Excellent reading experience on iPad with seamless scrolling
  • Good value for money given access to a large library
Cons
  • Slow performance and frequent crashes/long load times across devices
  • Clunky, cluttered UI with confusing navigation and risk of losing reading progress
  • Lack of desktop options (no PC or Mac app) and weaker cross‑platform parity
  • Unresponsive or slow customer support in some cases

I use this every day

The app is very clunky and won’t let even me log in so that I can access the digital library that I paid a lot of money for. Keeps saying password is wrong, even though that password works for the Artscroll website. Needs to be fixed ASAP please.

The amount of material available is staggering. The subscription which gives access to the entire ArtScroll digital catalog is worth it if you actually use the materials regularly. I use this on an iPad. The app itself is slow, crashes frequently, and it is VERY easy to accidentally click the wrong thing and spend the next 1-2 minutes trying to get back to where you were. The popout links are very useful for studying intertextuality. If the app weren’t so slow and the UI were improved to avoid misclicks, it would be an easy 5 stars. As it stands, though, it has some major issues that need to be addressed.
