User Reviews

User reviews consistently praise the router hardware and mesh network, but condemn the Linksys app for chronic instability: slow performance, frequent crashes, and login loops; unreliable device/status reporting (0 devices, missing nodes) and setup problems; and a long gap in updates. Overall sentiment is that hardware works, but the app is the weak link and undermines the product experience.
Pros
  • Router/mesh hardware generally works well (reliable mesh performance)
  • The app can perform basic controls like restarting the router in some cases
Cons
  • App is buggy, slow, and frequently freezes or crashes.
  • Repeated login/authentication problems: login loops, verification issues, being logged out.
  • Devices and network status are often not visible or inaccurately reported (0 devices, no network, cannot see nodes).
  • Setup and ongoing use are hindered by forced reliance on the app and unreliable setup/connectivity.
  • Lack of app updates; the app hasn't been updated for years and issues persist.

Was great once upon a time. I rely on this app to monitor networks at 4 locations and have 15 nodes in total. Now dog slow, can’t get to some networks randomly, or just locks up.

one of the nodes keeps getting disconnected.unplugged the power and the app still says connected.app doesn’t show the actual status of the device.
