User Reviews

Users find it a solid, affordable tool for sparking ideas and organizing notes, with a variety of prompts and exercises that help beginners practice writing. The main downsides are reliability and UX: crashes, a non-intuitive flow with manual saving, and requests for auto-save plus more customization and features (own prompts, iPad split-screen). Overall it’s helpful for idea generation, but stability improvements and feature enhancements are needed to fully meet user expectations.
Pros
  • Prompts and idea generators that reliably spark writing and creativity (triggers, prompts, word games, and title ideas).
  • Strong ability to save and organize ideas and notes in a notebook, keeping inspiration accessible.
  • A varied set of tools and exercises (workshops, character sketches) that help beginners practice writing.
  • Good value for money, offering substantial features for a few dollars.
  • Accessible and beginner-friendly, helping new writers get started and stay engaged.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and freezes, harming reliability.
  • Not very intuitive to use at times; workflow requires extra steps (e.g., saving prompts before typing under them).
  • Lacks auto-save, risking lost work if you forget to save manually.
  • Prompts can feel too simple or repetitive; limited variety and customization (need ability to add own prompts).
  • Missing features like iPad split-screen and broader customization options; desires for more prompts and better integration.

Got this in a bundle with one great app, two scam apps, and this thing. This is not great, but it’s pretty good. It’s strange that you can’t just start typing under a prompt, but you can save them and then type away under them there. For this sort of practice writing I think it could be great, just needs to be a little more intuitive, don’t see why it needs that extra step. Tempted to go 2 stars, but the other apps were so bad this seems good in comparison, so 3 stars.

Love this app, I would’ve given 5 stars if it had split screen available on iPad OS though.

Me encanta. Es una aplicación que te permite plasmar las ideas rápidamente. La tienes a la mano. La recomiendo, sobretodo a aquellos que apenas nos estamos empezando a aventurar en escribir literatura
