Field runners 1 still works perfectly, as the towers place on the tile your finger is touching (like it should be) This game has the tower hover one space above your finger, which is cool in theory, being able to see it clearly and all. Unfortunately, since you cant drag your finger BELOW the bottom row, you literally cannot place towers down there whatsoever.
