Features & Capabilities

ModWheels brings classical synthesizer modulation and pitch wheels to your iPhone and iPod. Just hook up a MIDI interface and control any MIDI enabled synth or keyboard. In addition to the wheel interface this app also features a pitch ribbon / wheel combination as it could be found on some vintage synths. This app comes in handy when you are using one of these new organ keyboards which also feature synth sounds. But for some reason the designers have forgotten the performance controls? ModWheels help you using the full potential of those keyboards.

ModWheels can be used with most MIDI hardware like LINE6 MIDI Mobilizer and it also supports MIDI over WIFI

Update the IOS so it could work. Last time I used it was on a midi keyboard and now it doesn’t work. Everything was properly connected.

I love the feel of my keyboard (Korg D1) and it’s usually in my studio for use as a midi controller, but the only thing it’s missing are pitch and modulation wheels. This little app completes the package. It was tricky trying to figure out how to connect it, but once I did, it’s worked flawlessly.

It works but I had a hard time figuring out on Mac OS and Logic how to set it up. The developer should have given instructions inside the app on how to connect. I went to the Audio MIDI set up in Mac an created a network session, and there, I added my phone.
