Users praise easy access, a usable digital edition option with lower price, and solid local NoCO coverage with cross-edition access. Pros

Easy to access and well designed.

Ability to access editions from other cities and use the USA Today section for national news.
Bottom navigation bar makes it easier to reach sections.
Local NoCO news coverage is maintained and updated.

Cons

Ad-heavy experience with full-page splash ads and frequent subscribe prompts that disrupt reading.
Content gaps: not all print articles appear; the app isn't a complete replacement for the print edition (missing items like box scores, comics).
Reliability issues: loops, crashes, and sign-in/out problems.
UI/UX issues in the new app: chaotic layout, oversized controls, and hard-to-hide menus.
Billing and account problems: vacation hold isn't easy to find; misbilling and not always recognizing subscribers.

Recent reviews

This app is bad at most things outside of opening an article and reading it. It always has trouble signing in, my subscription purchase on desktop didn’t register with the app until I deleted and reinstalled it, and the few account customizations there are have glitches. I’ve been a reader for years but this is mediocre. Gannet is a huge corporation and should really have a better app base to work off of.
