I reported a seller for scamming and submitted multiple pieces of evidence, including detailed chat records, but Xianyu still claimed that there was “insufficient evidence” and refused to take meaningful action. It is extremely frustrating to see a platform demand evidence from victims, then ignore the evidence provided while allowing suspicious sellers to continue using the platform with little consequence. This kind of handling does not make users feel protected. Instead, it feels like scammers are being protected more than the people who report them. A marketplace should take fraud reports seriously and have a fair, transparent appeal process. Based on my experience, Xianyu has failed to provide adequate protection for buyers.
