User Reviews

User reviews show the app is free to use, with solid cross-device syncing, easy flight logging, and printable reports, plus helpful mobile access. However, the mobile experience lags the website, lacking key features like flight-hour totals and ground training entry, and feels dated. Stability issues (crashes, location permissions) and billing problems (cancellation/charges) are also common. Overall, the app is convenient but needs polish and parity with the web version.
Pros
  • Free basic use (no cost for core features)
  • Cross-device syncing and online data synchronization
  • Easy, quick flight logging with reporting and printable outputs
  • Mobile data access and availability via the iOS app
Cons
  • Mobile app feels dated and not as polished or intuitive as the web version
  • Missing core mobile features (no flight hour totals, no total-hours column, limited ability to enter ground training, block-time entry issues)
  • Stability and reliability issues (crashes on first login; location permission bugs)
  • Subscription cancellation and billing problems (cancellation difficulties and charges)
  • Import from CrewTrac is difficult

After trying the platinum version of the account and not finding it useful as I thought I asked for the cancellation. There is no way you can cancel the subscription even on the website and after contacting the support without any reply I got charged.

In today’s world of aviation, we need more portability. While the web interface is fantastic, ZuluLog’s app is seriously behind the curve. With the right updates, this could blow many other logbook apps out of the water. Firstly, automatic syncing is super important. The ability to access many of the same features and options as the online interface is also important. I love this logbook. While ZuluLog is my primary digital logbook, I absolutely cannot stand its app. Get it together guys! It’s 2020!

Why can I not add my block in times while using the iPhone or iPad mobile apps? Also, importing from crewtrac is a nightmare
