Features & Capabilities

OneLogin Protect is a free, enterprise-ready MFA authenticator that secures all your OneLogin SSO accounts and thousands of third‑party apps. It uses push notifications with quick taps for approval, supports Touch ID/Face ID or PIN, and works with services that rely on OATH tokens. It continuously generates a unique 6-digit TOTP code every 30 seconds and can function offline when data connectivity is unavailable.

You can add accounts by scanning a QR code or entering details manually, and you can securely back up and restore all accounts to Google Drive. The extension requires camera access for QR scanning and delivers push notifications for OTP requests, helping you stay protected with enterprise-grade MFA.

User Reviews

The feedback is largely negative. Recurrent issues include: difficult setup and onboarding; lockouts after device changes or updates; accounts getting deleted after being added; instability where the app won’t open or prompts for authentication derail login; and limited recovery options or support, making it hard to regain access without IT assistance.
Pros
  • No clearly identified positive feedback across multiple reviews.
Cons
  • Difficult to set up and use; reviews describe a confusing onboarding and unclear flow (codes and authentication).
  • Changing devices or phones often locks users out or moves the code, making login impossible.
  • Adding an account can cause it to be deleted afterward, resulting in loss of access.
  • The app sometimes won’t open or crashes after updates; unexpected prompts (fingerprint) disrupt login.
  • Recovery options and support are perceived as poor or hard to access, with users needing IT help to regain access.

I’m trying to use this to log into my college account, my collage account wants me to submit a code, the app also wants me to submit a code, do I make the code or do you give a code to match. I just need this to log into school but cannot figure this out

If you add an account it will just delete it after it’s added. Then you lose access to said account because you can’t get your code.
