User Reviews

Most reviewers like the station content and the ability to listen remotely, but reliability is the key problem. Crashes, freezes, background interruptions, and dropped streams recur across multiple reviews. A minority find it works well; for many, the app’s instability overwhelms the positives.
Pros
  • Remotely listen to KTRS 550 via Wi‑Fi or in the car, even when a radio isn’t available.
  • Listeners enjoy the station’s talk-show format and diverse hosts.
  • When it works, the app provides a solid listening experience.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and freezes; the app often won’t start or becomes unresponsive.
  • Background playback stops or the app misbehaves when switching apps or locking the screen.
  • Streaming frequently drops connections or fails after a few minutes.
  • Blank white screen or poor UI visuals make it hard to use.
  • Occasional no-sound playback issue.

What a waste of time! I’ve downloaded this app half a dozen times. I would love to listen to the station, but every time we download it, it works briefly and then freezes up. What a colossal waste of time! We are relegated now to listening only to KMOX which is sports. How nice it would be to catch some news and one or two of the programs on KTRS. We’ve given up.

This is a very unreliable app. It sporadically just stops and will not start again. Often the sound stops and the screen just goes black. Great station in terrestrial radio but horrible app product

Was there an update? This worked great. Have been listening to this all over the world. Now it turns off when phone turns off and also closes when I open other apps. I hope you can make it work like it used to.
