Dharma Seed is a Chrome extension that brings streaming dharma talks and guided meditations to your browser. It lets you download favorites for offline playback, search talk titles and descriptions by keyword, browse the most recent talks, and find talks by specific teachers. You can also search a teacher's talks by keyword, view what you've previously played, and access teacher information—all from one convenient place.

The app supports donations to teachers (dana) and provides context about generosity. Limitations include that access to talks with a retreat code isn't supported. Talks are offered with the intention of making teachings accessible to all.

Can you add a favorite button or like button for the Dharma talks?

I’m grateful for being able to listen to talks, and If we were in 1997, I’d say this is a great app. But in 2025 you expect apps to support playlists, favorites, follow authors, transcripts and more.

This is one of my most used apps. The library is vast and contains dharma talks by many different teachers. It would take years to listen to all the material. The recent update adds the ability to download talks which makes the app much more useful.
