This app was clearly written with some cross-platform API, which in itself is bad practice. But the developers didn't even make an effort in trying to make the user interface usable on an iPhone. No standard shortcuts work. No gestures work the way they're supposed to work on an iPhone. external controls such as AirPods are broken. For a broadcasting institution of the size and budget of RAI to publish an app that could have been written by a student for an undergrad software project, is an embarrassment. And it has never improved over the years. Since RAI decided years ago to commission a cross-platform API app, it's been a disgraceful result.
