Pros: This app is awesome in that it doesn't have to be running in the background to work. My boyfriend downloaded & uses the full app. It really helps ease concerns with friends/family who forget to text that they made it home safely because they are very tired. All they need is to have their phone with them & on. They don't need to actively press "send" so there is no way for the user to forget to text. A possible con to some people is that the app has an area range (the size can be adjusted but at it's smallest it's still a rather large area) that once the user enters that range, the notification should be sent out but it isn't received until the user has been at the specified location for 1-2 minutes. I like this "lag" as it confirms the user is really there by the time you receive the message & not just in the vicinity. The app can be set up to also send out a message that the user has left an area but because of this same lag, it can be several minutes that the user has actually been gone. The notifications generated by the app are created in a text box (rather than a drop down menu) so that it can be customized to specify anything such as if the user has left work or school or where ever & if the user is almost home or is home. Cons: the app generates texts through email so it while it doesn't cost anything, it doesn't come through with a number or email address that i can add to the persons contact info. In fact, it is a different number every time. Luckily, the text sent has the name of the sender in it in case you have multiple people who use this app & the name of the app so that it doesn't appear as some random text from an unknown source.
