Features & Capabilities

PieZoni's App offers a concise overview of PieZoni’s, a family-owned brand with roots dating to 1996. It traces the evolution from Pepperoni's to PieZoni's Franchising, LLC, emphasizing fresh ingredients, a vibrant dining experience, and a Bar Pie-centric menu featuring a 10-inch thin crust with proprietary dough and sauce recipes. The app highlights the brand's commitment to consistency, value, and family tradition across PieZoni's restaurants.

Users will learn how push notifications are managed: on first startup after download from the Apple App Store to iOS devices, you’ll be prompted to opt-in or opt-out, with any changes later controlled through the device settings. The extension conveys key menu ideas and brand history in a lightweight, easy-to-skim format suitable for quick reference.

User Reviews

Pros: easy ordering, good food, reliable delivery, and rewards when working. Cons: persistent payment issues (no saved cards or Apple Pay), unreliable coupons, address/map sign-up failures, and overall UX glitches that interrupt checkout. Overall, customers like the food and ease of use, but payment, promo, location, and reliability problems limit the experience. Improvements needed include wallet support, persistent payment data, robust promo handling, accurate maps, and a more stable UI.
Pros
  • Easy-to-use app for placing orders
  • Food quality is consistently good across items (salads, pizzas, etc.)
  • Delivery is reliable and food often arrives warm on time
  • Rewards system works when functioning and the app is usable otherwise
Cons
  • Payment methods don’t persist (cards must be re-entered) and there’s no Apple Pay support
  • Promo codes/coupons are unreliable and often fail to apply
  • Address/location mapping and sign-up can fail (Google Maps recognition issues, guest checkout problems, frequent location re-selection)
  • General UX/reliability issues (repeated questions, cart resets, slow loading, issues after app updates)

Coupon code worked once. I understand only certain stores honor the coupon but don’t mail me a coupon to my address and then NOT honor it when we both reside in the same town!!!!

Pretty basic and straightforward. A little weird that you can’t get any info about your order while inside the app and you have to get an email. Apple Pay support would be sweet. A little interface retouch wouldn’t hurt either, not that I’m docking stars for it. Like the Refreshing Rewards button in the rewards section. It looks kinda bad unselected. When you do select it, it looks better but the words are a little off center vertically. I know, picky, but things I notice. I’m also not sure why the food images in the menu have the name of the section in them while above the name of the section. All in all, it does the job.

First, the service and food is great. I wish this app was better. It really feels like whoever coded it never used it. Issues: 1) my saved credit card never works. I select it and it gives me an error saying I need to pick a card. 2) the rewards program never gives me points for my orders. Odd things: 1) why do you ask the same questions twice? Pick BLT sub and it asks you immediately if you want mayo. Then you push continue and it doesn’t show your answer next to mayo. Do I need to pick it again or am I to assume you got it the first time? 2) other menu items are the same. Order a salad, it immediate asks a couple questions then you push continue and it shows the same questions without your answers filled in. 3) if you put items in your cart and accidentally push back you have to start all over. 4) why cant you show a picture for all the items? It’s 2019. Every person has a digital camera in their pocket. Have one of the cooks take a picture. 5) why is loyalty Id a 1985 line barcode. Who uses line bar codes now? 6) why do I have to select my location and your location every time. How many of your customers is that normal for? Make it easy for 99% and give the 1% a button that says “select different location” 7) why is there a pizza category and a speciality pizza category? Pizza only has one option, just cheese. Just make a single category called Pizza and put cheese pizza in it with the other pizzas. 8) why is it always saying Loading with every click. What do you not have available in the app binary that needs to load. It should be fast and easy. 9) I think it just looks bad. Use some element shadows and borders to make it look like you actually put some effort into it.
