User Reviews

TimeFreeze shows potential for easy, smooth slow-motion and high-FPS work, with many users praising its simple interface and effective velocity edits when it functions. However, the majority of reviews flag serious reliability issues: frequent freezes/crashes during retiming, outputs that render black or fail to save, and long render times. Interpolating to higher frame rates (40-60fps) is inconsistent, with some reports of duplicated frames and artifacts. Users also report in-app purchase problems and a sense the app is abandoned. Overall, it’s a mixed experience—great concept, fragile execution.
Pros
  • Easy-to-use interface
  • Smooth slow-motion results when it works
  • High-FPS options (such as 60fps) available when functioning
  • Useful for velocity edits / timing adjustments
  • Long-time users rely on it for editing tasks
Cons
  • Frequent freezes/crashes during retiming
  • Outputs often render black or fail to save after processing
  • 60fps/HFR interpolation is unreliable, with duplicated frames and artifacts
  • In-app purchase issues and concerns about abandonment (greyed-out unlocks, inability to buy)
  • Slow render times and lag, especially on longer clips, plus ads interruptions

App looks promising trying to process my video slow downs ... But NEVER is able to complete the retiming. I have to crash out every time. Even the cancel button is frozen

Edit: ‘Smooth motion’ did 60 fps. Alright! I’ve used this app for a month now, and I see in the description for the app, it says you can make any video (like my 30 fps) convert to 60 fps. But upon selecting HFR, I only see 120 or 240.

I bought this app to convert 30fps video to 60fps. After paying to remove the ads I converted several 30 fps videos (and some 24 fps). After trying dozens of different settings, NOTHING worked. The 30 FPS video I got back was technically 60 fps, but every second frame was a duplicate. To make matters worse, the existing frames had blurs and tears in them. This app DOES NOT WORK. AVOID.
