User Reviews

Overall, writers praise RhymeZone as a valuable, in-app writing aid with a broad toolset and easy access, but recurring complaints focus on ads in the paid app, missing website features, questions about value for money, and usability/UI shortcomings compared with the website. The sentiment is mixed but leans positive for writing usefulness with caveats.
Pros
  • A strong writing aide for songs, poetry, and overcoming writer's block; many users say it’s essential and highly valuable.
  • Broad in-app toolset (rhymes, near rhymes, synonyms, antonyms, homophones, and related meanings) all in one interface.
  • Easy to access and use within the app, without having to search the web.
  • Positive updates and quick in-app reference features; users feel it improves over time.
Cons
  • Ads appear in the app, including the paid version, distracting users and reducing usability.
  • Missing features compared to the website (phrases, related words, advanced search) and fewer options.
  • Value for money concerns; many reviews say it isn’t worth the $2.99 price.
  • Usability/UX issues versus the website; some users describe the layout as cluttered or awkward, especially on tablets.

I couldn’t help but notice there was a 8 letter word “blackout” yet the word “whiteout” wasn’t. They can’t help but expose themselves every single time.

I was disappointed that some of the search criteria are not in the app that are on the Web implementation. Most notably is the “Phrases”. It’s not on the app. Also “Related Words” is absent from the app. Will they be added in a later release? Thank you.

Better off using the online platform as this one just redirects you there anyhow. Definitely not worth buying. Total waste of money.
