User Reviews

Reviewers praise Running Fred for its nostalgic charm, unique platforming, and enduring appeal as a retro mobile classic. However, feedback repeatedly calls for updates and new content, reviving older modes like Falling Fred, improved controls (more touch/swipe options), and a gore toggle. Overall, fans want ongoing support and modernization while cherishing the retro experience it offers.

Pros

Nostalgia and lasting appeal; a beloved childhood title that still feels great.
Unique, fun platforming concept that stands out from other mobile games.
Timeless, simple gameplay that remains enjoyable on modern devices.
Strong fan attachment; easy to pick up and play and a memorable experience.

Cons

Lack of updates for years; players want new content or sequels.
Requests to bring back classic modes like Falling Fred and other nostalgia-era features.
Controls could be improved with more touch/swipe options instead of relying on tilt.
Gore/blood toggle missing or not easily configurable; players want a setting to disable gore.
