User Reviews

iCalendar is praised for color-coding, calendar linking, and a detailed month view, and has been a long-time go-to calendar for many users. However, it is plagued by data loss, unresponsive support, and bugs affecting updates and recurring events. Feature gaps (attachments, family sharing, drag-and-drop) and a slow update cadence further hurt reliability. Overall, the negatives around data loss and support frequently overshadow the positives.
Pros
  • Color-coding and extensive calendar customization (colors, multiple calendars, labels)
  • Ability to link/sync with other calendars and view them in iCalendar
  • Month view with day-level text entries (not just dots) and clear overview
  • Flexible reminders and repeat options (custom alert times, recurring events)
  • Long-time go-to calendar used by many users with generally positive praise despite issues
Cons
  • Frequent data loss or erasure of calendar data (past and future events) with little to no recovery
  • Poor or unresponsive customer support (delayed or generic replies)
  • Core-bug issues affecting essential functions (unable to update events, denied access, recurring-event edits, date spinner glitches)
• Feature gaps and usability shortcomings (missing attachments, family sharing, drag-and-drop, limited sharing options)
  • Infrequent updates/maintenance and ongoing reliability concerns

Nice and clean calendar. Unfortunately, you can’t delete Apple’s questionable “holidays”.

I recently lost everything on my calendar. I’ve never had this problem or any problems with this app. Tried to reach out to the email they provide and it is not a working email anymore. This is completely devastating to me- I use this for business and for personal use. And I’ve now lost SO much.
