User Reviews

Users consistently praise FreqFinder as a long‑time, stable RF coordination tool for live and location sound. The app delivers reliable performance across OS versions, supports multi-brand gear, and offers strong value with helpful features like saved transmitter lists and fast developer support. The main drawbacks are crashes and instability reported with certain add-ons, and occasional add-on compatibility issues after updates. Overall, it’s considered essential for RF coordination in reality TV and live events, with ongoing updates and responsive user support.
Pros
  • Very reliable and stable across many OS versions with little interface churn.
  • Powerful RF coordination tool that handles multi-brand gear and intermod, essential for live/location sound (especially reality TV).
  • Excellent developer support with fast updates/fixes (often within 24 hours).
  • Good value for money; affordable compared to PC intermod tools.
  • On-the-go features like saving transmitter lists and easy on-the-fly channel edits.
Cons
  • Crashes and instability, especially when using certain add-ons (e.g., TV Ch); can interrupt work.
  • Add-on compatibility issues after updates (crashes or missing add-ons).

Been using this app for probably a decade. One of the few pieces of software left on earth that works reliably, isn't constantly changing its interface, and continues working thru countless new OS versions! Hey, NewEndian, great work and THANK YOU for maintaining this software for so dang long! If big tech functioned like you, we'd live in a much better world! The only thing I'd like to see, god forbid, is some form of live freq lists so updates automagically appear to other users on the team. Would be a big help for reality with several mixers. But it is quite beautiful that this app doesn't do much with the internet... So maybe it's fine just the way it is!
