User Reviews

Middle School Vocab 7th Grade is praised for its gamified, vocabulary-focused learning and the variety of modes (flash cards and driving mini-games) that help seventh-graders build words and confidence. However, multiple reviews cite paywalls and limited free content, a desire for harder questions, occasional controller/lag issues, and ads during play. Overall, it’s seen as educational and engaging, with most downsides tied to monetization, content gaps, and performance concerns.
Pros
  • Gamified, engaging vocabulary learning with car/banana mini-games keeps students motivated.
  • Strong vocabulary focus; users report learning new words and improving language arts.
  • Multiple learning modes (flash cards and mini-games) offer variety and keep practice interesting.
  • Positive impact on grades and confidence for seventh-grade learners.
Cons
  • Paywalls and in-app purchases gate access to more content (levels and games).
  • Free content is limited to only a few levels or games without paying.
  • Requests for harder vocabulary and more challenging questions across levels.
  • Car/game controls can be laggy or hard to control (accelerometer/turning issues).
  • Ads can pop up during gameplay (annoying experience for some users).

Once upon a time, I was sitting down on my couch, and just chilling. I see my mom going up to my brother, and asks for his iPad. I’m thinking, “Why does she want his iPad?” Then I see her go into the App Store and download this app. I hear her say to him, “This is going to teach you a lot of words that is going to be helpful in your life.” and I wonder, “Hmmm, maybe I should get this app too.” I ask her to download the same app on my iPad, I go into the app and start using it. You drive over bananas (Yes i know that it sounds weird but it’s not really as weird as you think.) and get asked a question, for example. “She gave me an AMPLE amount of cookies” And it I highlights the word that it is teaching you, and it will have 4 options like this “a fair amount to eat to talk to a person a location” And it gives you 2 chances to figure out what it means, if you get it correct, then you move on to the next.... “Banana”... If you get it wrong it gives you 1 more chance, if correct, once again you move to the next... “Banana”... But if you get them both wrong it won’t even tell you what the correct answer is!! So, I’m gonna do pros and cons now. Pro: Doesn't have any Con: Meant for 8TH GRADERS! And it says 4 an up! How are 4 year olds gonna know these stuff?? How are they even going to know how to read?? Pro: Once again, IT DOSENT HAVE ANY!! Con: When you are trying to get the... “Bananas”... It is SUPER laggy! Well.. it’s not laggy, but it’s running on 2 FPS (Not literally I’m kind of just exaggerating) Pro: ONCE AGAI- Well, you probably already know by now... Con: THIS IS STOOPID! (Yes I know I misspelled it...) Thanks for read this, if you made it to the end then you deserve a medal for reading all of this!
