I’m not sure how I feel about this game. The graphics and gameplay are good. It takes a game or two to get used to the interface. However, this game is much harder than the board game. In this version you get four investigators…that’s it. If they all die you loose. Elder Signs are now 20 trophies instead of 10. And there’s no way you can convince me that the dice rolling is actually random here. Need skulls? You’ll roll anything but - even with items. Need scrolls? Haha. No. You’ll get terror and investigation and like it. I beat Yig once. I’m honestly not even sure it’s possible to beat the other ones. Which I suppose means that this game accurately simulates the hopelessness of fighting eldritch entities.

Its fun, but i disagree with the statement from the dev saying “some games arnt ment to be beat” the fact that its hard coded some playthroughs are programmed to be doomed from the start is unfair. it takes all the skill out of the game and has you wondering through out the whole playthrough if this is one of them. i wish they would get rid of the doomsday patch and revert it back to how it used to be to be upon release. having the game autodecide if youll win or lose at the start, regardless of the probabilities, is unfair and takes away from the experience.
