User Reviews

The Sims™ FreePlay on iOS is praised for a fun, casual, mobile-friendly Sims experience, good for daily play and nostalgia, with a mostly free-to-play model and cross-device portability. However, users repeatedly report stability issues (crashes), long task timers, and slow progression. Monetization is a major gripe, with many items requiring real money and perceived misrepresentation of FreePlay. Cloud save data loss and limited customization also surface. Overall, enjoyable but reliability and cost concerns heavily affect the experience.
Pros
  • Fun and engaging mobile Sims experience
  • Mostly free-to-play and accessible without heavy spending
  • Great for casual play and daily routine; nostalgic for long-time players
  • Portable on iPhone/iPad; play anywhere on mobile
  • Positive about updates and ongoing development (overall good game)
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and stability issues across updates
  • Long wait times and slow progression for tasks/events
  • Monetization is expensive; many items require real money and some feel FreePlay is misrepresented
  • Cloud/iCloud save problems causing data loss or rollback across devices
  • Limited customization/content compared to PC/Sims 4; desire for more features and variety

The game CHEATS! I finished the 90 days of checking in, should be at vip level 10 but instead when I finished level 9 at the end of 90 days the requirements for level 9 are all that changed and it did NOT give me level 10. Also its clearly so focused on forcing you to spend and usually its WAY more than it’s worth and you pay BIG for things that glitch and don’t work properly. Also, when a sim is doing a task its SLOPPY, there is no variety. Someone pays thousands of sims dollars for an item just for the sim to only be able to admire it? You want fast money but you’re too lazy to invest in creating ACTUAL tasks. Each update gets further away from what it seems people want. This used to be a fun game but you all are determined to keep breaking what doesn’t need to be fixed.
