User Reviews

Overall, Fitbit's app is valued for core tracking (steps, sleep, heart rate) and usefulness in staying active. The most common complaints focus on syncing problems with Versa devices, bugs in food logging, unreliable notifications, and issues linked to Google integration and updates. Some users also report data inaccuracies and battery/performance drops after firmware changes. Despite these, many reviews still express appreciation and a belief that the app meets their basic fitness-tracking needs when it functions properly.
Pros
  • Tracks steps, sleep, and heart rate.
  • Helps users stay active and provides useful metrics.
  • Barcode scanner is not behind a paywall.
  • Overall useful app that meets many users' basic fitness tracking needs.
Cons
  • Frequent syncing/connection issues with Versa devices and phones (bluetooth sync failures, data not updating).
  • Food logging bugs: double entries, multiplying items, incorrect calories, and occasional app lockups.
  • Notifications are unreliable: missed or delayed calls/messages and other alerts.
  • Glitches tied to Google integration/updates, affecting syncing and data consistency.
  • Occasional data inaccuracies and device/app performance issues after firmware updates (battery drain, slow syncing, unstable metrics).
Recent reviews
I do not need a notification - to pop up and never go away until I click on it - every time I log a workout, or hydration, etc. it is very inconvenient and unnecessary. Please remove these.

I just read another review and Google's relsonse was that the app changes couldn't be reverted. What a load of lies that is. Trnaslation...Google made a big time managing mistake that cost them money now changing the app design. They could absolutely make the changes back to what it was but they don't want to because they know that will cost them more money. What an awful company and awful response to another's review. Basically, they are acknowledging they made a huge mistake here but won't make changes to correct their bad business decision. Talk about completly ignoring their customers. Do better Google! Make the changed and revert back to what it was and you absolutely can. If you can't then maybe you need to see if your employees make these changes are the right fit for your company. Google is suppose to hire the best of the best - right? So why can't you revert back? Aren't you smart enough?
