Tempo SlowMo is a versatile practice companion that slows or speeds BPM without changing pitch. Designed for musicians, dancers, and language learners, it helps you work at your own pace. Import audio from iPod/Apple Music, Dropbox, or over WiFi, then play, pause, and adjust tempo from 20% to 250% with marker-based looping and easy export to MP4.

Apple Music tracks load for practice, though some controls aren’t available for those files. Core features include background playback, AirPlay, start/end markers, and looping; plus in‑app purchases for playlists with BPM lock, Pitch Changer, BPM Tapper, 10‑band EQ, Balance controls, and ad removal. DRM protected tracks are not supported.

Update: Very very sad that this app,is no longer supported. There seems to be no substitute. And it is great. Original review: I record scales etc from my Yamaha keyboard using Tempo Slowmo, and practice cello intonation slowly at first then speeding up bit by bit. I also record youtube audio from my computer onto my ipad mini and practice using TS. My practicing has improved 1000%! I would love to be able to import from Spotify. Thank you to the developer. I really needed this app (easy!)

After satisfactorily using this app for several years the PITCH function no longer works correctly—frequently with the Pitch button no longer appearing at all. I deleted and reloaded the app and no improvement. The button occasionally appears, (depending on which of my downloaded iTunes selections I load), but does not reliably function. When it does not appear, I can go to the Shopping basket (Store) REMOVE it, then INSTALL it, and it will reappear—but does not function (it will display incremental semitone changes, but will not change the audio). It was an invaluable tool for rehearsing or arranging a tune in a key other than the original key, but that function now seems to have largely disappeared.
