Features & Capabilities

LouderLogic is a Chrome extension that elevates your music playback with McDSP's patented Audio Level eXtension (ALX). It delivers fuller, more detailed sound by minimizing volume fluctuations between tracks and maximizing musical detail. The built-in 4-band parametric EQ with Spectrum Animation lets you visualize and sculpt the tone, while dynamic Play Queues keep the flow of songs seamless and under your control.

Key features include a 4-band EQ with interactive Spectrum Animation, Play Queues for tweaking upcoming tracks without interrupting the current song, and a crossfade adjustable from 1 to 30 seconds. Note: ALX enhancements may not apply to DRM-protected audio, and some files may not be enhanced if restricted by DRM.

User Reviews

Reviews praise LouderLogic for real-time volume normalization and strong audio customization, plus a feature-rich player. However, many users report stability problems (freezes/crashes, slow library loading), compatibility/maintenance concerns with iOS updates, and pricing confusion between app versions, leading to mixed, inconsistent experiences.
Pros
  • Real-time automatic volume leveling (AGC) that normalizes loudness across tracks.
  • Configurable EQ, crossfade, and sound check for high-quality, audiophile-like sound.
  • Feature-rich music player with library/playlist integration and playback controls.
  • Widely praised for crossfade and sound-check quality.
Cons
  • Frequent stability issues: freezing, crashes, stalls, and needing reinstallation.
  • Long library load times or failure to recognize the library.
  • Concerns about ongoing maintenance and compatibility with newer iOS versions.
  • Pricing confusion between different paid versions and perceived deceptive pricing.

I would have given it five stars if it worked, but it keeps freezing. I had been looking for an app like this for a long time . I have over 13,000 songs on my phone and many of them are from old cd's, so the volume fluctuates wildly . When I listen to any music on my phone I continually have to reach for the volume knob, and there are quite a few tracks that I can't even hear in my work van, which is very noisyl(and sound check in the music app is a joke, it only makes everything quieter). So when I found Louder Logic I immediately downloaded the free version to test it out. It actually did normalize the volume on almost every track (and it accesses the music library so I could even listen to my playlists w/o having to create new ones for the app, like with Fubar 2000, which only plays music at the original volume, so is useless for what I want) and I thought it was great. I drive about 350 miles a day for work so having almost all of my music play at the same volume all day was great. So I DL'ed the "for iphone" version for $1.99. It worked for a few days and then froze when I reopened it when I got into my car to go to work. I deleted it and re-downloaded. It worked for a couple of days and then froze again. I deleted it and DL'ed the $3.99 version. That worked for a couple of days and then froze. So I deleted it, re-DL'ed and it worked for a couple of days. I thought "The benefits are worth having to delete it and reinstall every once in a while". Today I had to delete and reinstall before I went to work, it worked fine all day, and then froze when I went to leave work. It's just not worth the hassle anymore. I am deleting it permanently and asking for a refund for both of the versions I paid for and I will not reinstall it unless they finally do an update so it actually works like it's supposed to. And in my humble opinion, when an app is no longer being supported by the developer, they should remove it from the app store. I'm sure they're making money off of people who download their product and then delete it because it doesn't work and then never ask for a refund because it's only a few dollars. It's almost like a scam.

This app was the missing link in my motorcycle sound system upgrade! Powers my speakers up to where I can hear them clearly at 80 MPH with a helmet on!

A very nice app, when it works. It crashes a lot on iPad and currently not working on my iPhone.
