Been using google news for a long time. It’s honestly a good source for headlines but the use stops there. Yes some articles are free and others cost money which is understandable. What isn’t understandable is why when you do hit a paywall your entire app is locked down. You can’t go back. You have to close the app. I don’t believe an app should be allowed to lock your phone down like that into a pay trap - I won’t call it a paywall because you can turn back from a wall. Also the app is full of clickbait and advertising that hijacks your phone screen. It would be easy for Google to fix this but money is more important to them and they will never do anything.
