I’ve had this thermostat and the app for years and it’s been one headache after another trying to get it to maintain control of my device. I’m just a guy who needs a simple wi-fi enabled thermostat and this app and company are yesterday’s technology. I got a new router and for some reason the app won’t connect to my thermostat now, and when I contacted InThrMa they said they can’t talk to me unless I spend almost $100 for an incident ticket. Huh?! Don’t waste your time, folks. There are too many outstanding products on the marker to pull your hair out over this unfortunate product. I regret all the time and effort I’ve put into this product, especially since I have to pay an annual fee to have this app monitor my thermostat!

Was sold on this for my tstat control. The app is something out of 2002 very basic. Not very intuitive to set up. Then I got a email stating I had to pay for remote access. 48$ a year. I got this tstat free. If I have to pay I will go buy a nest that has more function. Apple should delist this app for false advertising of being free!!!!

This app seems like a potential mobile solution for your Proliphix thermostat... plus it's the only one out there. I had high hopes. Unfortunately, it's a clunky, unpolished attempt that is unintuitive and lacks the luster an innovation of most every other thermostat app in its class. One example of this is that it does not support iPad/landscape view... well, supposedly it does support a version of landscape view reserved for usage statistics presented in graph form. For example, the user is instructed to turn the iPhone horizontal to view energy usage graphs. Maybe it's iOS 8/9 causing this (developer should fix) but when I turn my iPhone, yes, I get the graph, but it's rotated 90°... the app got the message to go to horizontal mode but the output didn't! It's sloppy. Setting up the app is also a hassle. The app redirected me to the developer's website to register my thermostats. This operates pooly in Safari. Then, once things are finally set up and I'm feeling maybe okay with this app, but not thrilled... the next day I get an email letting my know my "free trial" would expire in 14 days and I'd need to renew on the website. Curious, I go to check this out and discover the cost is $4/thermostat per month... so now this is actually a $48 per year app. Even worse, this developer also charges the customer per thermostat! I have four, so my bill would be $192/year to use this amateur app. I find this ironic since the developer touts "efficiency" and system "optimization." I decided I was much better off keeping my $192 and just managing my thermostats with their built-in *free* web interfaces. In summary, this might be a decent app for me if it came close to the competition just in the arena of user interface, but the total miss here plus the pricey subscription (for the services I saw) makes this a disappointment for me. It's also a shame this app is all the Proliphix thermostats really have left.
