User Reviews

Many reviews highlight pervasive paywalls, unreliable data, and frequent bugs. The app is sometimes valued by RV travelers or for locating nearby towers, but recurring complaints about subscription prompts, data inaccuracies, crashes, and heavy ads dominate. Overall, users view the app as overpriced and unreliable, with only modest usefulness for locating towers or planning booster placement.
Pros
  • Locates nearby cell towers for booster placement and planning.
  • Helpful for RV travelers and property hunting to evaluate coverage in new areas.
  • Perceived to provide more realistic coverage data than standard carrier maps.
Cons
  • Ongoing subscription prompts, paywalls, and unlock fees with little value.
  • Inaccurate or incomplete tower/coverage data (missing carriers, outdated information).
  • Frequent crashes, glitches, and disruptive in-app purchase prompts.
  • Intrusive ads and monetization that hamper usability.

I expect ads on a free app, but this is unusable without paying. If you tap on anything a prompt asking you to upgrade will open, if you close that, a full ad for a mobile game will open that can’t be closed/skipped even after waiting several minutes. I think it could be a handy tool, but not in its current state. You can do 1 search, try to view tower details, and then you have to quit the app to get past the ad. I might consider paying if I was able to reasonably use the app, but it’s not even worth it.
