SocialChess is a polished, full-featured online chess experience designed for playing with friends or random opponents. Enjoy fast games with a clock or multiple correspondence-style games you can move on when you have a moment. Best of all, there are no advertisements and your privacy is respected. Features like Chess960 and an analysis board help you plan and improve.

Beyond core gameplay, SocialChess includes social and analytics features: user profiles, a map view of opponents located nearby, chat and group chat, and the ability to browse opponents' games and their histories. Track your progress with ELO rankings and per-opponent stats. Stay connected with push notifications, and even play offline with moves stored for later. You can manage up to 5 games at once (expandable to 100 via in-app purchases) and search for opponents by username or email, or be matched at random.

It’s pretty good so far but there is ALWAYS a notification on the app icon like it’s my turn or I have a new message. But it’s not and I don’t. Please tell me how I can make that go away.
