Users like the app for easy navigation and strong local coverage, including CBS Idaho 2. However, it suffers from key issues: no landscape support on tablets, stale/duplicate content and slow updates, reliability problems (crashes/freezes/slow startup), missing sports and other categories, and occasional navigation quirks that disrupt reading.

Pros

Easy to navigate with a clean, uncluttered design.
Strong local news focus for Boise/Treasure Valley.
Broad coverage including content from CBS Idaho 2, adding more local stories.
Generally smooth operation when the app functions properly.

Cons

Lack of landscape/rotation support on tablets (portrait-only mode) and poor iPad usability.
Content quality and timeliness issues: stories can be stale, duplicated, and not updated frequently.
Reliability problems: frequent crashes, freezes, and long startup times.
Sports coverage is missing or not updated, and some categories are absent.
Navigation/UI quirks at times, such as swiping opening Safari unexpectedly.

Recent reviews

The same stories sit stagnantly for days on end. No depth to stories. “News” stories are more similar to editorials versus unbiased reporting. Unfortunately, there isn’t a whole lot of competition in Idaho, so we’re stuck with it.
