Flip through pages showing important events of the first 'total war'. World War One affected the entire globe for it's duration and arguably for the century that followed.

Each page shows the date, a succinct description, a zoomable map for the event and a link to the a detailed Wikipedia article. After a particular event? Use the search button to find it.

The data for WW1 Daily comes from the World War One Timeline Project at Cannonade.Net. This is a community contributed project to collect time and place data for the war. You can come to the site to browse the timeline or even log in and contribute new data.

The Timeline Project currently indexes over 200 data points with new entries being added daily. If a significant event isn't in the database yet, it soon will be.

This app appears to be informative. I am reading two books on WW I and would love a day by day map of events. But, this is not the app for that. It just gives info for random dates, like flash cards. I guess if I wanted to study up on being a random date expert it would help.

It says you can set the date, but doesnt have a year setting. I would like to follow events as they occured on their 100-year anniversary. Also, would be great to see cards starting with the assisination of Arch-Duke Ferdinand.

This App will tell you what happened on a specific date as it corresponds to WW1. It breaks a colossal war down into small daily chunks. No doubt after a year you will an expert on every facet of this war
