User Reviews

Overall, the app is praised for its educational, kid-friendly content and good subscription value, with supportive customer service noted. However, multiple reviews report recurring technical problems after updates—especially with casting, live TV reliability, and login/subscription syncing—and accessibility gaps like missing captions, plus frustration with gated content. Users request restoration of old shows or a looser free access option, and improvements to archiving and feature parity. The main action items: fix casting, improve login, restore captions, and reconsider content gating while maintaining value.
Pros
  • Educational and entertaining content that kids love.
  • Positive, responsive customer support.
  • Good value for money with an annual subscription.
  • Kid-friendly TV channel with engaging shows.
Cons
  • Post-update casting and live TV issues (Chromecast/AirPlay no longer working; streaming unreliable).
  • Login/subscription problems across devices (invalid login; subscription not recognized).
  • Content is heavily gated behind subscription; limited free access.
  • Lack of captions/subtitles across shows; accessibility issues.
  • Live TV buffering and repetitive ads disrupting playback.

When I went to the show section, I can't find Fred and Fiona and also can you bring back all of the old shows that you used to have on the TV channel get rid of all of your unknown, shows except for mini kids and sweet lullaby songs, and also bring back all the old shows also because you add a train for the home menu doesn't mean you have to get rid of all of the old shows also, why do you have to lock everything you have? but for a reason when I search for it, I found it, but all the episodes are locked and also why do you just have to put a lock icon on everything and it doesn't mean you have to make a subscription for that

My son has brain cancer, and Zoe from support helped updating the game and have some of his loved games available for him. My older kid is 11 years old and he loved baby first tv since he was a baby 🥰 thank you Zoe you make a wish come true for my younger son ♥️

Sweet story! I have been watching baby first since probably around 2015. Yes, I was 11. Yes, I’m an overgrown child. I listen to baby first when I’m sleeping sometimes. I think we might have either changed the app layout or my phone glitched the last time I downloaded this app, so I’m not sure what the problem was but hopefully it’s not an issue now that I downloaded it. Also, I wish they had some sort of archive where we could find old episodes of old shows. I remember when they still played squeak on their channel. I’m really showing my age. Lol.
