Distance Measure is a Chrome extension that lets you measure distances between multiple waypoints on online maps and calculate polygon areas for three or more corners. It requires an internet connection to access mapping data.

Tap and hold to add a waypoint, and use the options to read the manual or adjust settings such as map type and measurement units. Tap the result at the bottom of the map to switch between units, and use Save/Restore to manage your measurements.

This is an awesome measuring tool for land owners or anywhere on the globe you want to measure distances & area! The maps in my area in NC, USA are more updated than any other aerial map apps at present. The current (Sept ‘25) imaging was obtained in March 2025 whereas other map apps are older. Well done!

I wish the app offered a spherical projection, that is to say, show the Earth as a globe that one can rotate. For me this is a more natural way to look at the Earth.
