User Reviews

User reviews show GV-Eye often crashes or becomes unstable, with unreliable playback and update-related problems (including wipes and iOS 16 compatibility issues). Some users still value the app for live view, multi-camera/site access, and playback when it works. Overall, live feed and multi-site access are positives; stability and playback reliability are the main recurring negatives.
Pros
  • Live camera feed (live view) on iPhone.
  • Playback feature to review recordings.
  • Ability to view multiple cameras/sites from a single GV-Eye app.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and overall instability.
  • Playback is unreliable or non-functional (cannot view or delays).
  • Updates wipe configurations or break app functionality.
  • iOS 16 compatibility issues causing black screens / no video.
  • Slow performance / long load times and lag.

This app is okay. You get a live view of your camera and some recording, but it crashes all the time. The second you try to do something the app crashed and you have to force close to get it back up. If you want to view a recording, you can and it takes timeeee, just do not click on more than 3 videos or it crashes. Also the playback is horrible on it. You have to select individual files by date and time, max 5 files and open it up. You cannot simply scroll through the actual video feed. You want to view multiple cameras at once, it works for a few minutes, but then crashes. It’s like the app works to show the feed but once you do too many things, it crashes. The app is very unstable and I’m moving my customers to UNV for the easier functionality on their phones. I am moving my customers away from geovision because of the functionality of vms and app.

You have the Web Port and Port default settings swapped! Probably a conflict in data entry authentication and/or wrong data fill from form variable? I cannot get to my device anymore to select cameras.
