User Reviews

Lords & Knights on Apple is praised for accessibility (VoiceOver), deep alliance-based strategy, and long-term engagement. However, many reviews report recurring technical issues (account losses, glitches, slow performance), fairness concerns from alliance play, and pay-to-win tensions. Some players note slow pacing and unclear activity indicators. Overall, it remains appealing to strategy fans who value depth and social play, but stability, balance, and onboarding improvements are frequently requested.
Pros
  • Accessibility with VoiceOver on iPhone, making the game usable for visually impaired players.
  • Deep alliance-driven strategy and old-school castle conquest gameplay.
  • Long-term engagement with players reporting years of play and ongoing interest.
  • Potential to progress without heavy spending, appealing to players who don’t want to pay-to-win.
  • Strong social and competitive multiplayer experience through alliances and battles.
Cons
  • Frequent technical issues including account loss, glitches, and slow performance.
  • Pay-to-win concerns and ongoing balance issues.
  • Fairness problems from alliance ganging up and power imbalances.
  • Slow pacing, especially at the start and during onboarding.
  • Unclear activity indicators and unreliable messaging/notifications affecting coordination.

Finally a game I’ve been wanting to play for forever! It’s an RTS in the same realm of Whiteout survival and Evony and all those clones, however it’s got so much more thought into it rather than just “bigger number better” and you don’t have to go into debt just to try to keep up. It’s slower paced and graphically simpler, but feels like the strategic element is far superior to every other game on the market. Has that really old school Evony vibe I used to love, where a really smart and coordinated smaller player or team could actually take on bigger players and win. I am sad it took me so long to find this as it’s been around forever it seems and I just hadn’t heard of it.

I’ve played this game for years and many different servers. The biggest problem I have is developer response. On the newest American server, I spent 500 gold to move my castle into my alliance but it didn’t work. The game took my 500 gold and didn’t move my castle. Now it will not let me move a castle again for more than 60 hours. I brought this up to the developers and I have received zero response. It takes way too long for developer response. I have 19 forts that I cannot upgrade.
