User Reviews

Reviewers broadly praise Baby Shusher as an effective sleep aid that calms crying and helps babies fall asleep, especially when the physical Shusher isn't available. They value the price and the convenience of timer options and cross-device use within the Apple ecosystem. However, multiple reviewers dislike in-app upsells for the physical device, note that the audio output is limited to the phone speaker (no Bluetooth), and report timer reliability issues. A few also mention that the shush sound isn’t suitable for every baby. Overall, it’s a worthwhile sleep aid with some usability caveats.

Pros

Effectively soothes babies and helps them fall asleep, with many users calling it a sleep miracle.
Useful as a portable substitute for the physical Shusher device when it's not available.
Offers multiple timer lengths and extended durations, allowing flexible soothing sessions.
Seen as worth the money and good value for the price.
Works across Apple devices (iPhone/iPad) under the same Apple account, enabling use on multiple devices.

Cons

In-app pop-ups and prompts to buy the physical Shusher irritate users.
Audio only plays through the iPhone speaker; no Bluetooth or external speaker support.
Timer reliability is an issue — it often times out or stops after a short duration.
Sound quality/tones don’t suit every baby; some reviews say the shush can scare or upset the child.

We bought this making the assumption it was like the physical shusher. The sound is completely different. Do not buy the app
