User Reviews

Users praise the app for its strong, angler-driven community and solid free features that help find fishing spots. However, repeated complaints focus on paywalled forecasts and premium features, with many calling it a bait-and-switch. The forecast UI is often unreadable or missing, and there are recurring issues with subscription activation/cancellation. Additionally, users desire in-app weather data and more complete depth/temperature info, while some spot listings feel misleading due to private property or restricted access. Overall value is tied to the free version, with paid features diminishing satisfaction.
Pros
  • Free version provides substantial value for finding spots and basic features without paying
  • Strong, angler-driven community with active feeds and posts of catches
  • Angler-focused design with features like global/local/following feeds that aid discovery
  • Good for discovering new spots around you and planning trips
  • Widely regarded by users as one of the best fishing apps for anglers
Cons
  • Paywall for forecasts and premium features; many users call it expensive or a bait-and-switch
  • Forecasts are unreadable or missing after updates; basic forecast often behind a paywall or hard to interpret
  • Subscription/premium activation and cancellation issues, including premium not activating
  • Missing in-app weather data (no live weather) and lack of depth/water temperature information
  • Spot listings can be misleading or restricted by private property/private spots

Paid for the membership but unable to see any contour lines on any lake anywhere. I click on the depth charts icon and the word Navionics shows up on the map but that's it. I have the latest update and have insured that I have the correct map layer selected. I can't seem to find a way to contact the developer directly, so I'm leaving this review in hopes that they will contact me. At least for now, total dissatisfaction and regret for spending the money.

Can’t even get past the login screen. Tried signing up/logging in through Google, Apple, and then even tried to make a new account through my email. Every time it locks up or says authentication failed, even trying to make a new account. Gave up and deleted.
