User reviews show that WPSD Radar has a strong radar feature and fast, simple operation when it works, and some consider it a top option (even free) for weather radar. However, recurring problems across multiple reviews include unreliable radar data, frequent crashes or load failures after updates, pervasive ads and Daily Almanac push notifications, and readability issues such as small text and hard-to-read colors. Several users report being unable to open the app or forced to relaunch, and some want the ability to disable warnings. Overall, the app’s radar capability is praised, but stability and UX frustrations drive negative feedback.

Radar data frequently unreliable or not updating (not live, off for days).
Frequent crashes/hangs; won't open or stalls.
Intrusive ads and unkillable push notifications (Daily Almanac) and ads redirecting to Safari.
UI readability issues (small text, white-on-blue background) and cluttered radar colors, hard to read.
Unable to disable radar warnings, resulting in a cluttered screen during storms.

Recent reviews

You get a video update in the morning that often freezes up or gets cut off. Then you get a dog walking forecast that is pretty much the same as the morning update just a few minutes later. No video update from the noon broadcast or five or 6 o’clock broadcast, only the 10 o’clock broadcast. They have multiple opportunities to give video updates, but choose not to. Weekend is even worse with very little updates and not at all on Sundays. Forecast section will say 40% chance of rain and then when you click at the details it’ll say 60% chance of rain in the morning and clear that evening. Pretty much just an overblown thermometer that warns you about severe weather.
