User Reviews

Users praise the app's striking Mac-like UI and audiophile appeal, but frequent crashes, meter synchronization issues, flaky Apple Music integration, and unreliable background playback severely limit usability. Many reviews urge updates or removal. The design and perceived sound quality are the main positives, while reliability and ongoing maintenance are the main obstacles.

Pros

Beautiful UI with a classic Macintosh aesthetic and distinctive blue meters.
Easy to use and provides all essential controls to enjoy music.
Audiophile-quality sound with detail, air, and musicality.
Good integration with your iPhone library and compatibility with McIntosh gear.

Cons

Frequent crashes and overall instability; the app can require reinstalls and feels unmaintained.
Meters and playback are not in sync with the music or volume, and sometimes show different tracks than what is playing.
Apple Music streaming/integration is flaky or unreliable; cannot consistently access or map tracks.
Background playback is unreliable; music stops when switching to other apps or when the screen times out.
Long-term lack of updates; appears abandoned or not actively maintained.

You guys are missing an opportunity here to have an app that people can use that would be more aspirational than you can imagine. Just spend a little and make it work across platforms like Spotify and the rest.
