User Reviews

World Clock – Time Zones is valued for its broad city coverage and usefulness for global planning, but it suffers from long-term neglect, stability crashes, broken purchases, and UI/search usability problems—especially with dark mode and outdated time data. These issues undermine a tool that many users otherwise find handy.
Pros
  • Broad city coverage and helpful time-zone information for planning with friends, family, or colleagues worldwide.
  • Reliable for years with many users noting it remains useful for checking global times and has broad city coverage including smaller locales.
  • Useful for travelers and global teams to quickly see local times across regions.
  • Some reviewers note it offers more cities than Apple's built-in World Clock.
Cons
  • App appears abandoned with no updates for years, including DST/time-change data (e.g., Mexico) not being reflected.
  • Frequent stability issues such as map crashes and general app crashes, sometimes affecting functionality.
  • In-app purchases/upgrades are unreliable and purchases may not restore after device changes, leading to frustration.
  • Difficulty adding/loading favorite cities or searching for cities; listings can be blank or inaccessible, especially in dark mode.
  • UI/visual issues, including readability problems in dark mode and awkward presentation of city listings, plus perceived paywall overhead (ads/upgrades).

I’d recommend this app does what it says with no issues just wish it had more locations available

I’ve had this for years but at some point it stopped working. You can load a fresh copy to have the cities it loads as default but you can no longer load your own cities. It should be taken off the App Store. It hasn’t been updated in 5 years—the developer has abandoned it.
